Some of the best Content Types to Share with Google

Google is the daddy of the search engines but many people don’t realise that there are many different content types that you can share with Google. Most people will not realise that there is anything other than simply your website that you can share with Google but this is not the case at all. In fact, if you are really clever about it, there are a variety of different content types that you can share with Google that will really attract a huge amount of attention to your website.

  1. RSS Feeds – This is a content type that you should be submitting to Google and other sources if you have it. If you have a website that has any kind of content such as photos, news feed, blog etc, you are able to submit this to search engines in the form of a RSS feed. If you use a popular blogging platform such as WordPress, then chances are that you will actually publish a feed automatically without you even knowing. One of the places that you can submit a RSS feed is with Feedburner and this is something that you should definitely do as it allows you to build a relationship with your audience.
  2. Blog Search – If you have a blog, then you should definitely submit it to the Google blog search. The Google Blog Search Pinging Service is basically a way that you are able to notify Google when you add content to your blog. This will allow Google to discover any changes that you make and your site will be added to list of sites to crawl and index.
  3. Google Places – If you have any kind of business at all ,you would be mad not to submit it to Google places. This is a great opportunity to tell your local area about your business and often, the Google places listings will appear extremely high up on the search results.

As you can see, it is important to think outside of the box when submitting content to Google and not to just simply submit your site and your site only.
