iPhones & iPods Banned At Bill Gates’ House

Bill Gates Bans iPhones & iPodsWhile the popularity of Apple’s iPhones and iPods continue to rise with millions of units sold, there is one place you’re sure not to find either: Bill Gates’ house.

That’s right- Bill Gates’ home in Washington State is “Apple-free”. This family rule is a tough pill to swallow for his three children, ages 12, 9 and 6. Even his wife Melinda admits that at times she has felt the urge of wanting to own her own iPhone or iPod.

Bill Gates remains totally loyal to his precious baby, Microsoft, and points out that his family is free to use Windows Mobile and Zune devices. First off, who wants to use Zune? Not me! Windows Mobile has a few options including the HTC Touch Pro, but again- it’s a drop in the bucket compared to a 3G iPhone.

Maybe one day when the kids are all grown up and move out of the house they’ll secretly buy their own Apple devices and hide them from daddy before he cuts them out of the family inheritance. But hey, I would give up cell phones and MP3 players all together if it meant I could live like Bill Gates’ kids!

While we’re on the subject, I thought you may like checking out this video:

  1. That is so funny. I bet those kids have ipods they just keep them hidden from there dad, he is probably at work all the time anyway. To be a twelve year old and not have an ipod especially kids with that kind of money. nice thought provoking post.
