Google Plus – How it affects you

One of the things that is hot at the moment is the new social networking website from Google. Previously, we saw the Google Plus One button that was launched on the Google search engine and elsewhere and now, Google has decided to go the whole way and launch its own social network. Of course, being in the website development, online marketing or website design industry, you will need to know about Google Plus and the effect that it is going to have on your work. There are a few things that you need to know about the website and that you should be taking into account.

Now, if you have a website or you are a website developer, you have probably already looked into the Google Plus One button. This is basically Google’s version of the Facebook ‘Like’ button and it is exceptionally important for websites. You should now be making sure you add the ‘Plus One’ button to any of the content on your website so that people have the option of sharing your content via Google. As well as this, you should also be looking into other uses for the Plus One button. There is currently no word from Google but we predict that the Plus One status of your content or website will have some weight on your position in the search results.

Another thing you need to note about Google Plus is that it can be extremely good for organising your friends and business relationships. Google Plus will allow you to share content with groups of people and it will also allow you to have video calls with multiple people. This can be great if you are looking to create groups of business people in your area for example and share content with just them.

There is no doubt that Google Plus will have a huge effect on areas such as SEO and web design in general and we will know more about it when Google opens up the service. One of the things you should be doing for now however is getting on the service as a social network without people is worthless.
