Fimusy-Music Search Engine

Category : Websites

I just love this site.
The best bit is that its FREE!

What does it do?

Well quite simple really, say you want to find out about an artist or band or find some of their music, you just type the band name into the search box hit go and you are presented with a list of tunes to hear, videos to watch, images to view and more.

Music Files and Video clips are viewed and played in the site browser.

Search Engine For The UK

Category : Websites

Searchers.co.uk is a very clean, fast loading search engine specifically targeting UK visitors, indexing sites based in the UK and sites that are visited by those who live there.

I was very impressed with the modern “feel” of the entire site, and the ability to not only perform a web search, but also “local” searches to show you directions to your destination, “shop” searches which allow you to enter an item you would like to buy and have all the results shown to you, and more!

From the homepage, you can add your site to their search results if it doesn’t already appear there. Searchers.co.ukThere is also a sponsored listing program much like Google Adwords which will allow you to pay a small fee to have your website appear at the top of their search results.

This is definitely a search engine worth checking out. I noticed that because Searchers targets a specific audience, there were a lot of sites which appeared at the top of their search results which I had never known about. Being accustomed to using Google all the time, many times I search for similar keywords and I see the same dozen or so websites all the time. With Searchers, there are many great websites that show up for the same search keywords that are just as relevant and contain information you may have never seen before.

Webmaster Interview With Back-Links.org

Category : Websites

Back-Links.org

As I continue to search the Internet for websites or blogs that I feel would be helpful to my readers, I stumbled upon Back-Links.org. I see this as a great up-and-coming blog that regularly features articles which contain great information for those who are looking to promote their website, or who are just looking for helpful online information.

This article includes my interview with the site owner, Will Blears.

Q: What is your name?

My name is Will Blears, however online I usually go by the name of Willyboy104- no real reason as to why I chose this name.

Q: Where are you located?

I was born in the UK and I am still living here, although my home city is Manchester I am currently at London for University. I am planning on going to China in two years as a part of my course.

Q: What made you decide to start blogging?

The main reason was because of the way I learn, I learn by doing. At the time I knew little about Blogging and Internet Marketing and I wanted to learn more about SEO. I thought what better way to learn than to start my own SEO website. A couple of months down the line I realized that I could make a living from blogging and since then I have made an effort to keep my blog up to date, full of unique information and tried to build my blog each month.

Although my blog has expanded from what once was created as just an SEO website, I’ve learned that focusing on just SEO would not allow me to survive in the blogging market, so since then I have extended this so that I now write about everything related to Internet Marketing.

Q: How long has your blog been online?

Webmaster Interview With OnePoke.com

Category : Websites

OnePoke, Social NetworkingIn case you have not heard about it yet, a new revolution in social networking is about to be released at OnePoke.com. I have been keeping an eye on its progress since the public BETA stage went into development.

I found the website very intriguing myself, so I decided to sit down for an interview with its co-founder Taris Janitens.

Q: What is your name?

My name is Taris Janitens.

Q: Where are you located?

I am located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Q: How did you come up with the idea for OnePoke?

Blogging is actually what got the idea of OnePoke.com started. With all the different types of social networking activities, a central way to manage all of these is more than necessary. I know that personally, I get frustrated have to check 10’s of different sites to see whats new, or to update my profile. OnePoke.com is the solution to all of the problems that exist with the way social networking is currently set up.

Q: How long has the site been online?

OnePoke.com has been in a public beta phase for just about one month now, and has been in development for 4 months. There is still a lot of functionality to be added to the site, and it will be very exciting to see it grow over time.

Q: What would you say is the overall purpose or goal of the site?

Site Of The Week- Kolakube.com

Category : Websites

All of us could debate for years to come as to what is the most important aspect of a website. I think it all depends on what you’re planning to accomplish with the site.

Kolakube.comIf you’re in it for the long haul, there’s no question that well-written original content will sooner or later bring your blog over the top and make you stand out as someone to be reckoned with in the Blogosphere.

Just this week, I happened to stumble across Kolakube.com, a recently opened blog with some killer content.

Who of us hasn’t stared at our monitors for hours on end, ripping our hair out trying to find something to blog about? Doesn’t it always seem that with blogging, it’s like feast or famine?

What I mean by that is (at least for myself), on some days I can sit down and pump out 2,3,4 or more long articles on a variety of different subjects without batting an eye. But on other days, my mind seems blank.

Kolakube.com posted a great article on December 9 titled:

Site Of The Week- Slymarketing.com

Category : Websites

Well, it’s come to to the time to select the current Site of the Week. After searching around quite a bit, I landed on slymarketing.com. I’ll tell you why:

Slymarketing.com is owned and written by Jens Berget in Norway. I believe his content relates in many ways to this site as we focus most on Internet marketing and SEO. Their article that caught my attention was the post Why First Impressions Are The Most Important. I think in many ways it relates to Alans post earlier this week on Why Your Site Loses Visitors.

The content at Slymarketing.com is very informative, well written and frequently updated.

Their blog design also looks really nice and I found it easy to read. So for these reasons, I choose them to be JWRmedia’s Site of the Week.

Why not pay them a visit? You may find some helpful information there that you will enjoy.
