Landing pages on your website are a great way to turn visitors into sales if they are done properly but the problem is that often, landing pages do not convert. This is usually because they are not laid out in the right way or do not contain the information. It is important to make sure that your landing page is absolutely perfect if you want to get the amount of sales you really need and there are some simple tips you can follow to be able to do this.

  1. Testimonials – Having testimonials on your landing page is one of the most simple ways to increase sales. Testimonials act like reviews for your product and it shows that other people have purchased the product and have enjoyed what you have sold them.  They help build up trust with your customers within a very short space of time but it is important to make sure that you don’t write the usual boring rubbish that testimonials contain.
  2. Assurances at your point of action – Of course, every good landing page will need a point of action but one of the things that you can do at this stage is to have an assurance for the customer to see. What we mean by this is that you should back up the point of action button with trustworthy icons such as an icon for the Wall Street Journal or a well known website. This shows the customer that your product has been trusted by these well known companies and that in turn gives them more incentive to purchase.
  3. Pre-populate the cursor – If your landing page has any kind of form that you want the customer to fill out, you need to make this as simple as possible and draw attention to this area. One of the ways that you are able to do this is by pre-populating the cursor in your form on the page. This will prompt the user to fill in the form and it is easy to implement.
